How to install the demo database
As part of the Axon installation process, a demo database is included. This demo database is typically added to every project and serves as a demonstration of the system's capabilities. It provides pre-defined content that allows clients to visualize how their own content would appear within the system. The images included in the system have been purchased and clients are free to utilize them for their IPTV purposes.
Installing the demo database:
To obtain the demo-database installer file, please contact support@nevron.eu. We will provide you with the latest version of the file. In this particular manual, the version mentioned is nevron-database-1.0.0_2023-02-07_20.run.
Note: versions may change, but the process stays the same.
Run the file with commands:
chmod +x nevron-database-1.0.0_2023-02-07_20.run ./nevron-database-1.0.0_2023-02-07_20.run
Run the script: There, you will be asked to type in the word ship or hotel, that will affect your desired installation.
During the installation process, you will be prompted to create a backup of the previously detected database. It is recommended to select "yes" and create a backup. Creating a backup ensures that your existing data is preserved and can be restored if needed. It is always advisable to create a backup as it does not pose any harm and provides an extra layer of data protection.
Once the demo database installation is complete, you will see a "Finish" message. At this point, you can proceed to open the IPTV administration. However, please note that since this is a demo database, you will need to register Set-Top Boxes (STBs) again because the previous STB information was not included in the demo database. Therefore, you will have to go through the process of registering the STBs from scratch.
The whole process takes about 5min and looks like this:
After installing the demo database, there is no need to reboot the server. The database is now set up and ready to use. The next step is to check the DHCP settings to ensure that devices can connect to the network.
Before adding devices to the network, it is recommended to check and adjust the network settings according to your preferences. This includes verifying the IP configuration of the IPTV network and adjusting the DHCP range if necessary. Ensure that the network settings align with your desired setup before proceeding with adding additional devices.
