LG Smart TV Pro:Centric Setup

Here, we will guide you on how to set up your TV to connect to our IPTV server. This process cannot be done remotely, but you can configure one TV and then clone the settings to other TVs of the same model.

Setting up your TV

 

Pre-condition:

  • Add TV's MAC in the device registration in IPTV manager: Check if you have DHCP on the network open or limited. If you have DHCP limited on the server, you need to first add the TV’s MAC in the device registration or open the DHCP to be unrestricted.

 

Step by step:

  1. Navigate to the Settings menu by holding the Settings menu button until a dark bar appears above, then press the keys 1 1 0 5 OK (Don’t stop when the vertical settings button appears. It’s not what you need. When you follow these steps correctly, a top horizontal bar will appear. This time hit the keys: 1 1 5 OK to access the hidden menu. Pro:Centric Menu settings:

  1. Mode: HTML

  2. Media type: IP

  3. Receive data: Enable

  4. Server Address: Domain name OR IP

  5. Domain name: stv.base.ntv OR insert your server's MW IP

  6. Port number: 80

  7. Input must be on Live

General → Configuration setup:

  1. Instant On: Instant On Reboot

  2. No Signal Image: Off

 

Turn off Sounds in the Background During LG Booting.

  1. LG Hotel Mode Setup (turn on)

  2. Volume (turn on)

  3. Start volume (turn on)

  4. Level: 0

  5. Power On Default (turn on)

  6. Input -> select Off (or HDMI can play sounds when TV is in standby)

Also set the default min and max volume user will allow setting when watching TV.

 Power off/on TV to boot in this new settings and test.

 

  • Your TV should boot up to TV channels or Dashboard. You can check on the IPTV server if you see your TV MAC address listed in the Device menu.

Upgrade LG FW

  1. Create directory “/LG_DTV” or “/lg_dtv” on the USB memory device home. Use USB 2.0, not 3.0.

  2. Save your firmware into that folder

  3. Shutdown TV

  4. PlugIn USB

  5. Power on TV
